In the Hail region, NWC has begun implementing 14 water and sanitation projects valued at over SAR 1.2 billion ($320 million). These projects aim to expand service coverage and improve water quality for local communities. The scope includes more than 1,342 kilometers of water lines and networks, alongside two pumping stations with a daily capacity nearing 4,000 cubic meters. Additionally, the projects feature sewage lines and networks totaling 153 kilometers and high-capacity pumping stations processing over 23,000 cubic meters of wastewater daily. Environmental initiatives within the region account for SAR 134 million in investments.

Meanwhile, in the Qassim region, NWC’s Northern Cluster has commenced 16 water and wastewater projects with a combined value exceeding SAR 1.1 billion (US$293 million). These include 12 sanitation projects worth over SAR 870 million, featuring 645 kilometers of sewage pipelines and lifting stations capable of handling more than 6,000 cubic meters per day. Four water-related projects, with pipelines extending over 579 kilometers, account for an additional SAR 247 million. These developments aim to meet increasing demand and enhance the quality of life for residents through improved infrastructure and service delivery.

In the Central Cluster, NWC has recently completed a SAR 400 million project to deliver desalinated water to three governorates in the Riyadh region—Dhruma, Al Muzahimiyah, and Al-Quwaiyah—as well as the Al Qiddiya project west of Riyadh. This initiative includes 172 kilometers of transmission lines and six operational reservoirs, providing a combined capacity of 100,000 cubic meters of water daily. It is expected to benefit more than 270,000 people by improving supply reliability and service quality.

These efforts align with NWC’s strategic objectives to develop sustainable, high-efficiency water services, ensure water security, and support the Kingdom’s ongoing urban and economic development. The company reaffirmed its commitment to delivering vital infrastructure projects on schedule while adhering to the highest performance and service standards.
